  7. Demonstration CD-ROM of: Orsay: a virtual visit

  9. • Installing the «Orsay» demonstration CD-ROM 
  10.  
  11. Double click on the «ORSAY» program icon which appears when you 
  12. insert the 
  13. CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive
  14.  
  15. Note: to run «ORSAY», only QuickTime and Sound Manager extensions 
  16. are 
  17. needed. Place them in the system folder (extensions and control 
  18. panel), then restart.

  20. • Exit
  21.  
  22. To quit the application, press the Command and Q keys 
  23. simultaneously, or click 
  24. anywhere on the screen.
  25.  
  26. • 256 thousands of colors
  27.  
  28. The Orsay demonstration runs on 256 color or thousands of colors 
  29. monitors.
  30.  
  31. To display thousands of color, some computers (i.e. the 5200, 5300, 
  32. 6200, 6300 
  33. series...) must be in 640 by 480 pixel resolution. In this case, modify 
  34. the parameter 
  35. before launching the Orsay demonstration.

  39. • Memory

  41. Quit all applications in use, resident programs, background tasks 
  42. (network, fax-
  43. modem...), before launching the Orsay demonstration.
  44.  
  45. If that isn't enough, try freeing the system of all unnecessary elements 
  46. by editing 
  47. your system folder (extensions and control panel), then restart.
  48.  
  49. If you still need more memory, create or increase the virtual memory 
  50. of your 
  51. system which use the free space on your disk to stimulate RAM 
  52. memory.
